have any problems in the past, be prepared to negotiate higher security deposits and
monthly rent. Â Also be prepared to turn in multiple applications.

Fill out an application & pay the application fees (usually $25-100 per applicant)
Pay a non-refundable administrative fee for your credit report/past rental
history/background check
Negotiate move-in and lease terms at time of application
Pay applicable pet, security, admin, key, cleaning and other deposits in
certified funds
Sometimes an earnest money deposit is requested to hold the property at
the time of application consideration
